La Facultad de Bellas Artes de Granada presenta la primera edición del programa BAG, una actividad cultural dirigida a los estudiantes de movilidad e intercambio que realizan durante el curso 2017-2018 su estancia en Granada. BAG tiene como objetivo principal apoyar y dar a conocer el trabajo artístico de los estudiantes de otros centros nacionales e internacionales que realizan una estancia temporal en la Universidad de Granada mediante los distintos programas de intercambio existentes. BAG comprende tres eventos: una convocatoria expositiva, un taller formativo y un encuentro de intercambio y convivencia entre estudiantes.
The Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Granada is pleased to announce the first edition of the BAG programme, a cultural activity aimed at mobility and exchange students completing studies in Granada during the 2017-2018 academic year. The main objective of BAGis to support and publicise the artworks of students from other national and international universities who are completing studies at the University of Granada through different exchange programmes. The Festivalincludes three events: a call for exhibition proposals, a training workshop and an exchange and coexistence meeting between students.

Se trata de un nuevo proyecto creado para apoyar y dar a conocer las obras artísticas de estudiantes de movilidad que realizan una estancia en la Universidad de Granada durante el curso 2017-2018.
Se podrá concurrir con obras o proyectos en cualquier modalidad artística (pintura, ilustración, escultura, fotografía, instalaciones, obra gráfica, performance, videoarte, land art, etc.), que deberán ser presentadas al público en espacios exteriores e interiores dentro de los recintos de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Granada incluido el edificio de Conservación y Restauración.
This is a new project which has been created to support and publicise the artworks of mobility students who are undertaking studiesat the University of Granada during the 2017-2018 academic year.
You can participate with works or projects in any artistic medium(painting, illustration, sculpture, photography, installations, graphic work, performance, video art, land art, etc.). These works must be exhibitable in exterior and interior public spaces at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Granada, including the Conservation and Restoration Building.

BAG 2018 se celebrará entre los días 17 de enero y 22 de febrero de 2018. La Facultad de Bellas Artes pondrá a disposición del programa BAG todos aquellos espacios que sean aptos para acoger la exhibición de obras artísticas dentro de sus dos sedes: Edificio Principal y Edificio de Conservación y Restauración.
Los participantes podrán proponer espacios de intervención/exhibición dentro de los recintos de la Facultad de Bellas Artes donde presentar su proyecto. La organización, tras estudiar y verificar la idoneidad de otros emplazamientos solicitados, se reserva el derecho de aceptar o no las propuestas de espacios.
BAG 2018 will be held between 29 January and 22 February 2018. The Faculty of Fine Arts will make those spaces that are suitablefor hosting the exhibition available at its two main venues;The Main Building and the Conservation and Restoration Building. Participants may propose exhibition spaces within the precincts of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The University of Granada, uponstudying and verifying the suitability of requested sites, reserves the right to accept or denyproposals relating to exhibition spaces.

Los proyectos seleccionados se presentarán en los distintos espacios participantes en BAG en las fechas acordadas por la organización del programa. Los seleccionados se comprometen a asistir al montaje y desmontaje del proyecto y a la retirada de la obra en los plazos acordados.
The selected projects will be exhibitedin the different spaces participating in BAG 2018during the dates indicated by the organisers of the programme. Selected participantsmust commit to assisting with the assembly and dismantling of the project and the withdrawal of the work within the agreed deadlines.

Los beneficiarios de esta convocatoria, mediante la aceptación de las bases, aceptarán y permitirán la difusión de los proyectos seleccionados, cediendo los derechos de reproducción y comunicación pública de las obras expuestas a favor de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Granada, consintiendo la divulgación de los mismos mediante medios impresos, audiovisuales o de otro tipo.
The beneficiaries of this call, by accepting the rules and regulations, accept and allow the dissemination of the selected projects, ceding the rights of reproduction and the rights of communication to the public of the exhibited works to the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Granada, and consent to the disseminationof these worksthrough print, audiovisual or other media.

La renuncia o incumplimiento de estas Bases (sin causas debidamente justificadas), conlleva la pérdida automática del derecho a disponer del espacio.
Los solicitantes serán responsables de cualquier actuación que pueda suponer daño o deterioro en paredes, suelos, u otros elementos en los espacios expositivos disponibles.Así mismo, se comprometen y están obligados a dejarlo en el mismo estado en que lo encontraron antes del montaje de su exposición y a reponer o reparar los daños que hubiesen ocasionado. Esta convocatoria no conlleva ayuda económica alguna al margen de los cauces de solicitud estipulados en nuestra Facultad u otras entidades.
Participation in this call entails full acceptance of the terms. The waiver or breach of these terms(without justified causes), entails the automatic loss of the right to use the exhibition space. Participants are responsible for any damage caused to the walls, floors, or other elements in the exhibition spaces. Likewise, they are obliged to leave the spacein the same condition in which they were found it prior to the assembly of their worksand to replace or repair anydamages caused. PERSONAL MAPS: PUBLIC/PRIVATE SPACE IN THE CITY OF STRANGERS
Contexto
Context
Granada es una ciudad en el sur de España con una población de alrededor de 238 000 habitantes. Somos extraños, en Erasmus + intercambio viviendo aquí por un mes. Sin embargo, todavía no hemos reconocido los principales aspectos de la estructura urbana y social de la ciudad. Para poder ser capaces de comprender más y profundizar en nuestra investigación, nos gustaría inspirar y alentar a los participantes del taller a participar en las discusiones, compartir experiencias personales y artísticas, y desafiar, así como practicar el lenguaje individual de ver el entorno social / urbano local.
Usando medios artísticos, tenemos un objetivo personal y educativo: para familiarizarnos (a través de la interacción y la intervención artística) con el contexto local, conocer narraciones privadas sobre Granada y sus habitantes.
Granada is a city in the south of Spain with a population of approximately238,000 inhabitants. We are foreignerson an Erasmus+ exchange programme and have been living here for a month. However, we are still not familiar with the main aspects of urban and social structures in the city. To be able to understand more and go deeper into our research, we would like to inspire and encourage workshop participants to take part in the discussions, sharing personal and artistic experiences, and challenging as well as practising individual languages of seeing the local social/urban environment. Using artistic media, we have a personal and educational goal: to familiarize ourselves (through interaction and artistic intervention) with the local context, getting to know personal storiesabout Granada and its inhabitants.

Concept
Durante un proceso co-creativo, estamos a disposición de invitar a estudiantes de la Facultad de Bellas Artes a participar, verse involucrados en el proyecto (independientemente del medio que utilicen) con el objetivo de abordar diversos temas relacionados con la construcción, la narración visual y las tensiones en el espacio urbano. Cada participante puede elegir su propio aspecto / punto de partida, utilizando el medio con el que generalmente trabaje, conectado a su propia investigación, intereses y al tema de mapear / distinguir el espacio público con un lenguaje individual, creando un mapa personal y subjetivo .
Prepararemos una plantilla de fanzine, para que los diferentes proyectos se muestren como parte de un intento mayor de mapear territorios especiales de Granada. Cada uno de los proyectos será un pequeño zine, explorando un aspecto diferente y personal del espacio público / privado.
El taller se dividirá en cuatro secciones:
1. Introducción, inspiración, elección de objetivos y reparto de objetivos espaciales
2. Documentación de lugares, reuniendo y discutiendo ideas de todo el grupo.
3. Ejecución de ideas: intervenciones site specific, fotografia: topografía, mapeo.
4. Recolectar el material visual y preparar las publicaciones del fanzine (edición, impresión y encuadernación)
Mostraremos un par de proyectos inspiradores a modo de ejemplo para los participantes.
Para organizar la discusión, nos gustaría utilizar de espacio la Facultad de Bellas Artes. Más adelante se puede utilizar otro punto / lugar / espacio de trabajo / punto de consulta, donde los participantes del taller puedan reunirse con nosotros. El lugar puede facilitar la interacción entre estudiantes con diferentes perspectivas, backgrounds y nosotros (como coordinadores y artistas con diferentes backgrounds también).
Througha co-creative process, we wish to invite students of the Faculty of Fine Arts to get involved in the project (regardless of the medium they use) aiming to address various issues concerning tensions in, as well as the construction and visual narration of, urban spaces. Each participant can choose their own aspect/starting point, using a medium they arefamiliar withand which is connected to their own research, interests and the theme of mapping/marking the public space with individual language — creating a personal, subjective map.
We will prepare a zine template so that the different projects will be shown as part of a bigger attempt to map Granada’s special territories. Each project will be a small zine exploring a different, personal aspect of public/private space.
The workshop will be divided into four sections:
1. Introduction, inspiration, goal setting, and allocation of space-related objectives.
2. Documentation of places, gathering and discussing ideas within the whole group.
3. Executing the ideas: site-specific interventions, photography, topography, mapping.
4. Gathering the visual material and preparing zine publications (editing, printing and bookbinding)
A numberof inspirational projects will be shown by us as examples for the participants.
To arrange the workshop, we wish to use the Faculty of Fine Arts. Later on it can be used as a venue/working space, where participants of the workshop can meet with us. The spacewill facilitate interaction between students with different perspectives and backgrounds and us (as coordinators and artists with different backgrounds too).

We plan to prepare the “making of” of the whole process, as well as of the final installations/interventions in the form of textual descriptions and photographs. The number of participants will berecorded. At the end of the exhibition, theexact number of zines will be printed (one per participant).
Quienes somos: Who we are:
SEBASTIAN BOŻEK
Nacido en 1988 en Cracovia, donde vive y trabaja. Graduado (MA degree) de la Facultad de Pintura de la Academia de Bellas Artes de Cracovia (diploma en el estudio del profesor Leszek Misiak en 2012). Desde 2015, realiza sus estudios de doctorado (departamento de Bellas Artes, Universidad Pedagógica, Cracovia)
En sus obras, el artista parte principalmente de la figura humana y el espacio arquitectónico para intentar captar lo que elude la verbalización - cultural, lingüística y arquitectónica, que continúa incesantemente tanto en lo real como en la mente del artista. Su área de intervención e inspiración son las preguntas específicas de la ciudad, su orden y arquitectura. Sebastián es un pintor entusiasta y un artista urbano site specific, pinta con entusiasmo murales en el espacio urbano.
KATARZYNA ZOLICH
Nacida en 1983 en Bielsko-Biała, estudiante de doctorado en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Pedagógica en Cracovia, se graduó de la Academia de Fotografía (Cracovia, 2014) y en Estudios Culturales en la Universidad Jagellónica (2009). Le otorgaron una beca por Young Artists Cooperative (2013), desde el Ministerio de Cultura y Patrimonio Nacional (2014) para terminar el fotolibro El Catálogo de espacios invisibles y el presidente de la ciudad de Bielsko-Biala (2015). Elegido para debutar en 2014 - un libro que reúne a 36 jóvenes talentosos, fotógrafos polacos. Exhibió sus obras en Polonia y en el extranjero. Ella forma parte de la Fundación Paper Beats Rock, un colectivo de educadores en el campo de la cultura Zine. Interesado en las personas, el poder y la violencia simbólica.
SEBASTIAN BOŻEK
Born in 1988 in Kraków, where he lives and works, Sebastian is a graduate (MA degree) from the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (diploma in the studio of Professor Leszek Misiak in 2012). Since 2015 he has been a PhD student (Fine Arts Department, Pedagogical University, Kraków) In his works, the artist starts chiefly from the human figure and architectural space to try to grasp what eludes verbalization – cultural, linguistic, and last but not least architectural elements – and that which continues incessantly both in the real and in the artist’s mind. His areas of intervention and inspiration are the specific questions of the city, its order, and architecture. Sebastian is both a keen painter and a site-specific urban artist, and eagerly paints murals in city spaces.
KATARZYNA ZOLICH
Born in 1983 in Bielsko-Biała, Katarzyna Zolich is a PhD student at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Pedagogical University in Krakow, graduating from the Academy of Photography (Krakow)in 2014 and in Cultural Studies at Jagiellonian University in 2009. She has been awarded scholarships from the Young Artists Cooperative (2013), the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2014) in order to complete a photobook entitled 'The Catalogue on Invisible Places' and by the Mayor of the city of Bielsko-Biala
(2015). She was chosen to appear in Debuts 2014 - a book featuring36 of the most talented, young Polish photographers. She has exhibited her works in Poland and abroad, and isa member of the Paper Beats Rock Foundation, a collective of educators in the field of zine culture. She is interested in people, power and symbolic violence.
ENCUENTRO DE INTERCAMBIO Y CONVIVENCIA
EXCHANGE AND COEXISTENCE MEETING
Durante la celebración del festival se celebrarán distintas actividades de encuentro y convivencia entre estudiantes que se publicitarán en los distintos medios de difusión con los que cuenta la Facultad y la Universidad de Granada. Estos encuentros estarán abiertos a todos los estudiantes interesados en participar en ellos ya sean de programas de intercambio o no.
During the celebration of the festival different meeting activities will take place between students. These meetingswill be disseminated through different media by the Faculty and the University of Granada, and will be open to all students interested in participating in them, whether or not they are completing exchange programmes
